Position Overview:

Verto is looking for an entrepreneurial, results-driven project manager to help us manage a small team of developers in bringing our SaaS application to life. We are a small software development company with a history of creating successful web-based applications for the retail and healthcare sectors. Our new project focuses on optimizing bid management for some blue-chip companies. The company is led by an experienced serial entrepreneur and backed by a proven investor.

We need someone to?

• work with clients in ensuring the deliverables meet their needs
• manage scope creep and ensure clear milestones are set
• track project completion and ensure timely billing of completed work
• negotiate project additions and quote new projects
• do onsite meetings with clients
• manage a team of 2-3 developers and a designer
• ensure that developers meet programming targets
• escalate and inform the necessary parties when projects encounter delays

To do this, you need to?

• have experience scoping out software development projects
• understand fundamental concepts associated with SaaS and web-based applications
• have an understanding of challenges associated with software implementations in a small-business or healthcare setting
• have experience working with IT systems and implementation
• have an understanding of enterprise versus SaaS client models

We are looking for?

• a person with a computer science, computer engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology management or Management Information Systems undergraduate/college degree
• someone with experience working with IT systems / software development for 4+ years
• a software lead or manager who has experience managing developers
  o?this includes a people oriented development lead interested in transitioning to a management role
• MBA, MBET or Graduate degree candidates for contract/internship positions

It would be best if this person also could?

• identify new sales opportunities for existing Verto applications
• secure new software development opportunities with existing clients
• respond to medium-scope RFPs

This is a contract position that will possibly lead to full-time employment. Compensation is based on experience.
